Paul Basham Associates provided planning application support and Travel Plan Coordination for new Warehouse facility in Aldermaston.
The aim was to provide an additional business unit at Easter Park Business Park, Benyon Road, Aldermaston, it included 1,937sqm of Gross Internal Area floor space, 700sqm site office and 2,675sqm service yard area.
Following separate pre-application advice for the scheme, Hope and Clay Construction chose Paul Basham Associates as the company to support the delivery of their new Warehouse facility, due to the experience of our team with getting similar schemes over the line.
Paul Basham Associates jumped straight in and prepared a Transport Statement on behalf of Hope and Clay Construction to support their planning application.
Our team worked with the client and design team to assess the proposed layout, which included an assessment of large vehicle movements in and out of the site using CAD Auto-track and the recommendation of a 6m wide access road with appropriate radii to ensure safe access.
Ample car parking and appropriate cycle parking was also proposed, to ensure adequate provision for future staff and visitors to the facility. The TRICS database was used to establish likely trip generation and involved a review of parking arrangements trip impact.
A cost-effective and realistic Travel Plan strategy was produced that our team knew could be delivered and was essential to ensure that Travel Plan costs were identified and budgeted in.
Planning permission was achieved in April 2014 from West Berkshire Council in-line with pre-app considerations. The facility has now been successfully constructed and is operating at full capacity.
