This much needed residential development in the heart of the city forms part of a wider regeneration strategy for Portsea, adjacent to Gunwharf Quays.
Paul Basham Associates were identified by Bellway Homes as the company to complete the necessary highways works for a renewed application for the site. The application was for a development of 90 residential units comprising 85 apartments and 5 houses. Our planning team prepared the Transport Statement and resident Travel Plan.
Initially working with the architects, planners and Bellway Homes to develop a layout that created an attractive and quality place to live, ensuring that the development was functional in terms of parking requirements, servicing and emergency access.
A cost-effective and realistic Travel Plan was devised by us, with an individual site specific strategy. Due to the site’s accessible location, measures identified as part of this travel plan considered how the users of the site would interact with the local community and infrastructure.
The application received approval and building has now commenced on site. We look forward to seeing the finished result and beginning the Travel Plan Co-Ordination works in the future.
