Paul Basham Associates provide extensive highways input for a £100million flagship scheme in Poole.
With a tired looking marina in desperate need of regeneration, our team were tasked with ensuring that this multi-million-pound project would have no adverse impact on the Local Road Network. The scheme comprised 73 residential units, a 60-bedroom hotel with restaurants, offices and marine service facilities.
Paul Basham Associates were initially tasked with providing a Transport Statement that demonstrated that the project would not impact the LRN. Parking and traffic count surveys were carried out to provide the evidence for the report. A road widening scheme was recommended and drawn by Paul Basham Associates to aid the flow of traffic around the development and reduce congestion. As part of this scheme, close liaison with the architect Pure Town Planning was vital in ensuring that the layout accommodated all necessary requirements such as parking.
This flagship scheme gained approval in May 2016 with our team providing sufficient highways evidence to support the application. We cannot wait to see the finished project!
