Paul Basham: Hat-trick Hero!

A busy summer of transfer activity continues here at Paul Basham Associates, with the arrival of three new graduates in our Southampton Office.

Harry Cherrill and Ellie Powell join the team having recently completed Geography degrees at the University of Portsmouth, with Shannon Rhodes-Wort joining from the University of Winchester with a Psychology degree.

Harry has already bought a positive enthusiasm to his new job where he is keen to implement his skills learnt during his time at university and expand his knowledge and experience within the transport planning industry. Harry has been all over the world throughout his university time, having studied at Shanghai Maritime University as part of an exchange programme and undertaken fieldwork in both Berlin and Uganda. In his free time Harry enjoys socialising with his friends and playing football.

Ellie has shown a great level of interest in her new role at such an early stage and is always keen to ask questions. Having developed an interest in transport planning during university where she studied sustainable development and the impact of its growth in urban areas, Ellie undertook voluntary work experience with Portsmouth City Council to gain a sounder understanding of the industry.  A highlight of Ellie’s career to date was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with friends from University to raise money for ‘The Children’s Society’ charity. We are looking forward to Ellie bringing the ‘Pow’ factor to Paul Basham Associates.

Shannon joins our team having completed a Psychology degree in 2017. Whilst she has no experience within the industry, she is keen to learn and has already established a good understanding of the principles of transport planning. After completing university, Shannon worked in the education sector for a year working closely with students as an in-class assistant. We are confident that Shannon’s experience communicating, building relationships and gaining people’s trust will help the company to grow and expand in the future. Let’s get this show on the Rhodes!

We hope you will join us in welcoming Harry, Ellie and Shannon to our team.
