Apprentice Civil Engineer

Paul Basham Associates is a fast-growing, and award-winning Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy. We are offering an exciting opportunity for two Apprentice Civil Engineer roles to support the technical and project management of a diverse range of projects within an expanding Civil Engineering team.

• Work within a Civil Engineering design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes
• Work in a design office, with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities
• Shadow more senior members of staff and support project work as required

You must have the ability to:

• Use appropriate scientific, technical or engineering principles
• Identify tasks and organise resources to complete them effectively
• Understand the safety implications of the role
• Understand the principles of sustainable development and apply them in work
• Communicate effectively with others, at all levels, in English
• Demonstrate personal and social skills
• Demonstrate awareness of diversity and inclusion
• Understand the ethical issues that may arise in your role and carry out your responsibilities in an ethical manner
• Carry out and record the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) necessary to maintain and enhance competence in your own area of practice
