Elthorne park school, Ealing

Paul Basham Associates helped to assist works on the £12m rated scheme at the Elthorne Park School, Ealing. The works included the construction of an additional two storey, temporary modular building for use as a new ICT teaching space, as well as a learning resource centre and new Hall.

The brief

Paul Basham Associates were instructed to carry out a number of comprehensive transport planning works in relation to the site, situated within the existing grounds of Elthorne Park School. Works included a Site Assessment, Transport Statement, Emergency Vehicle Access Plan and Construction Tracking.

Our approach

Our approach included an initial site visit to inform our reports and assess the access constraints of the site. Our main concern was that the site could be accessed by the appropriate vehicles, and included comprehensive tracking of refuse, construction and emergency vehicles as well as the standard car.

Working with Re-Format and Balfour Beatty, Paul Basham Associates formed part of a cohesive project team to aid in the delivery of the planning application.

The result

Planning permission was achieved in June 2015, with construction starting in January 2016. It was an exciting project to be involved in, increasing our repertoire of projects in London.
