Paul Basham Associates assisted McCarthy and Stone to support the submission of a planning application for a Retirement Living Plus development consisting of 56 apartments at Penn Street, Oakham. The project team were delighted to hear that the scheme received permission, with construction now complete in 2019.
McCarthy and Stone instructed Paul Basham Associates to provide the required transport planning works for the submission of a planning application for 56 Retirement Living Plus apartments along Penn Street, Oakham.
In the first instance, a site visit and fusion meeting were undertaken to establish the specific works required. Pre-application feedback was then provided by the Rutland Council highway authority to identify, discuss and resolve any issues at an early stage.
Following this, a new access design off Penn Street was drawn up as well as swept path analysis to ensure that geometries were of a suitable standard and in line with local guidance. Following this a Transport Statement was written to support the planning application addressing all of the Pre-Application comments.
Following the development receiving planning permission in September 2017, Paul Basham Associates prepared at Construction Traffic Management Plan as well as securing a TTRO for the parking bays directly opposite the site access.
Paul Basham Associates were delighted to hear that the scheme received planning permission in September 2017 with construction now complete and residents moving into their apartments from Summer 2019.
