Our Hunt for Hard-y graduates has had plenty of Luke

Paul Basham Associates are delighted to announce that Luke Millar, Jessica Harding and Dan Hunt join us as Graduate Transport Planners!

Luke graduated in July 2019 from Leeds Beckett University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Geography. During his time at university, he developed an interest in Transportation having studied an array of case studies some of which he got to experience in person through field trips to cities such as Lille and Kaunas. Two years on from graduating, following a period where career opportunities were put on hold by the global pandemic, Luke is now joining Paul Basham Associates as a Graduate Transport Planner and is looking forward to getting his career in Transport Planning underway!

Outside of work, Luke’s main passion is football which he plays once a week as well as being a life-long Newcastle United sufferer!

After 3 years at Oxford Brookes, Jessica graduated with a BSc Hons in Geography in 2020, eager to start a career in a geographical field. Jess worked different part-time jobs whilst at university and after graduating but wanted to continue her passion for urban development and begin to use her Geographical abilities. Jess joined our Oxford Office in June 2021 as a Graduate Transport Planner (after hearing about the company through a professor) and is excited to discover and cultivate new skills and embark on her journey here at Paul Basham Associates. She hopes to progress as a Transport Planner and build her professional portfolio.

Outside of work Jess enjoys playing Hockey, dog walks and going to the gym. Whilst she’s not outdoors, she loves to watch her favourite marvel movies and going out with friends, especially when there are cocktails involved.

Following his graduation from the University of Surrey with a BSc degree in Business Management, Dan was keen to make use of his business analytics skills in a setting that promoted sustainable transport, a passion that had been sparked from his experience from A-Level Geography and a keen interest in cycling and hiking.

Supported by the passionate and knowledgeable team at the Fareham office, Dan is excited to positively impact the transport planning industry, while encouraging sustainable forms of transport and travel.

In his spare time, as long as the sun is shining, Dan can be found out and about; hiking, cycling, kayaking and canoeing around his local area and waterways!

Congratulations and welcome to the team!
