If this sounds like something you would like to get involved in then we would love to hear from you! Please click on the 'Vacancies' button below to see what opportunities we currently have available.

Vacancies

Mentoring

As part of the programme you will be paired with a senior colleague that will guide you through the key elements of Transport Planning or Civil & Structural Engineering, company policies as well as coordinating your project work, and relevant tutorials. Your mentor will be your friendly first point of contact for any queries, work related or otherwise.

Appraisals

You will benefit from monthly catch-ups, quarterly reviews and annual appraisals to allow you to get the most out of the programme. This will allow you to communicate with your manager on a regular basis. Within this you will also get an opportunity to raise any issues you may be having or any areas of the business that you would like to be involved with more.

Professional Development

While working at Paul Basham Associates, you will get ample opportunities to develop professionally. We offer the opportunity to undertake a part-time Masters in Transportation Planning and Engineering as well as the opportunity to join the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transport.

Alternatively if you are working towards a professional qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers, we can aid you on your journey via the mentor-supported route by providing you with an ICE accredited Mentor that can review and sign-off your attributes. If you enrol as a Level 3 apprentice, once you receive your qualification you would then have the opportunity to continue your studies to Level 6.

Technical Development

As part of our Apprenticeship programmes you will have the opportunity to continually develop your technical skills and use key computer software including Revit, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD and Site3D. You will also assist with writing technical reports and preparing engineering drawings.

If you are pursuing the Transport Planning route, you will be using key computer software including AutoCAD, Junctions 11 and Linsig. These key skills will help you when preparing reports and completing the necessary vehicle tracking, measurement calculations and modelling assessments for the projects you are working on.

Project Experience

From your first day you will have the opportunity to get involved in project work. You will assist with projects and will undertake activities such as report writing, site layout advice, detailed design, 3D modelling, and site visits (depending on what discipline you are pursuing) as well as keeping track of the budget and reporting any issues to your internal project team.

Why not take a look at some of our case studies to get an idea of the exciting projects that you could be working on?
