The Proposal
Following a successful planning application, which was supported by Paul Basham Associates, we were subsequently appointed by Accent Group to assist with the Travel Plan Coordination, that was a condition of the approval.
The Approach
The 82 unit affordable scheme required 5 years of Travel Plan implementation, including the offer of travel vouchers, regular production of travel information, surveys and monitoring reports.
As the Travel Plan Coordinators we have created biannual travel newsletters to keep residents informed of their local sustainable travel options as well as organised travel surveys. We’ve had some challenges with obtaining resident surveys but we’ve been working with Cambridgeshire County Council and Accent Homes to find ways to increase responses.
The Result
We have completed the first 2 years of Travel Plan Coordination obligations for the site and are looking forward to continuing to progress the development to the end of it’s 5 year requirement.
