Paul Basham Associates were delighted to have assisted Churchill Retirement Living with a full planning application for a Retirement Living development containing 29 apartments at a former Petrol Filling Station on Broadway, Didcot – a site local to our Oxford office.
Paul Basham Associates were instructed to provide various levels of transport planning support to assist with the application for 29 Retirement Living apartments, from initial advice to full reports to support the planning application.
In the first instance, an initial review of the layout and site was undertaken to uncover any potential highways issues. This was followed by producing a short transport note to support a Pre-Application submission in order to gauge the local highway authority’s opinion on the proposal – most notably the access and refuse arrangements.
At the full application stage, a site visit was undertaken along with a Transport Statement setting out the highways aspects of the development including site accessibility, access, parking and trip generation.
Following receival of comments from the Local Highway Authority at Oxfordshire County Council (OCC), a Highways Response Note was compiled to address the outstanding issues before approval was then granted (P22/S1047/FUL).
