This plan aims to encourage sustainable travel modes and reduce reliance on single-occupancy vehicle use and are traditionally secured through planning consents on residential, workplace and school developments.

As Transport Planners and Travel Plan Coordinators we have to consider sustainable travel opportunities at every step of the way, at the early local plan promotion through to supporting a planning application and then implementing the Travel Plan as the Travel Plan Coordinator.
At Paul Basham Associates, we are pleased to have recently provided transport planning assistance to help achieve two successful planning condition variations at Broadley Copse Farm in Funtington and Blendworth Hills in Horndean. While the sites and land uses were very different – one focused on an anaerobic digester and the other on residential development – both projects required careful technical input to ensure planning conditions could be varied without compromising the surrounding transport network or the needs of the local community.
