We are excited to introduce our new Senior Civil Engineer, Jonny Reyes-Hughes, who joins our team based at our Southern Office in Fareham.
Jonny joined Paul Basham Associates in early March 2026, bringing eight years of experience working on national and international projects. His background includes major highway works, infrastructure design, residential and commercial developments, with expertise across all project stages from concept through to construction.
Jonny began his career as an apprentice, completing an HNC at Solent University, followed by a BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering degree apprenticeship at the University of Portsmouth, graduating in July 2024. Since graduating, he has also achieved Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status with the Institution of Civil Engineers. He is keen to use his experience and time in the apprenticeship scheme to support the next generation of apprentices entering the construction industry on their individual journeys.
Outside of work, Jonny enjoys taking his dog, Buddy the spaniel, for walks across the New Forest. He is also an avid golfer who enjoys being outdoors, even when the golf itself is questionable. Jonny also has a particular interest in cars, especially those from the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), and enjoys attending local shows as well as working on his own car.
