We are delighted to announce that Chris Owen-Hughes has joined our Civil Engineering team as a Senior Associate in the Southern Office!
Chris is a professionally qualified Civil Engineer and member of the ICE, experienced in land development, spanning residential and commercial projects of various scales. Chris’ capabilities include preparing complex flood risk assessments, surface and foul water drainage strategies and designs (including inventive SuDS, surface water treatment, and water and nitrate neutrality), preparing section agreements (highways and drainage), and multidisciplinary highway schemes. He possesses extensive experience in supporting developments at all stages of the planning process.
Chris has worked in both contracting and consultancy. The majority of his career has been in consultancy, working in the South East and London markets. He is excited to bring his experience to Paul Basham Associates to help the team continue their reputation for high quality engineering services.
Outside work, Chris enjoys racing keel boats on the Solent and spending time in the mountains, hiking in the summer and skiing in winter. While at home, he enjoys taking his German Shorthaired Pointer for walks in the countryside (preferably stopping in at a pub for a good lunch!)
