Introducing our Graduates for 2024-25!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Dannielle Granger, Samuel Flesher, Rachel McEwan, Hannah Lithgow, and Emily Kerry who make up our 2024-25 Graduate intake.

Dannielle Granger - Graduate Transport Planner, Fareham Office

Dannielle joined Paul Basham Associates' Transport Planning Team in August 2024 after obtaining her degree in Geography at Bournemouth University. She is passionate about sustainability and during previous years volunteered for a charity dedicated to restoring Bournemouth parks as well as a reef conservation site in Bali.

Outside of work, Dannielle enjoys spending her time running along the beach, going to the gym, or seeing friends. She also has gained her PADI license for scuba diving and loves to travel to any new places where she can see all kinds of sea life.

Emily Kerry - Graduate Transport Planner, Fareham Office

Emily graduated from the University of Southampton in July 2024 with a degree in BSc Geography. In her dissertation, she explored greenspace access across Hampshire which is where her interest in accessibility and sustainable transport began. She is looking to developing her career in the Southern team through the Graduate Training Programme.

Outside of work Emily loves travelling - Mainly city breaks with family or friends. She enjoys exploring new cultures, languages and being a tourist. If she's not on holiday, she's planning the next one! Her favourite destinations so far have been New York and Copenhagen. She also enjoys going on dog walks with her cockapoo, Martha.

Samuel Flesher - Graduate Engineer, Fareham Office

Samuel graduated Plymouth University with a master’s in Civil Engineering. He came to Paul Basham Associates from a housing developer where he was a Technical Assistant. Here, he gained experience liaising with local authorities, site coordination, and producing drawings.

In his spare time, Samuel enjoys going for walks, watching Cricket and F1, and anime.

Hannah Lithgow - Graduate Transport Planner, Oxford Office

Hannah joined the company after studying Geography at Royal Holloway. During her studies she undertook the module ‘Mobilities’ based on transport and the interconnections between spaces including how the lack of connection/unequal access between areas impacts the city and the people within.  Alongside her studies she also worked as the student graphic designer and swam for her university.

During her free time she has continued training outside of work including recently taking up open water swimming (only during the warmer months!).

Hannah has enjoyed the variety of projects she has started to work on including the ones based in her local area and is looking forward to increasing her knowledge and expertise.

Rachel McEwan - Graduate Transport Planner, Cambridge Office

Rachel recently graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in BA Geography. As part of her degree, she went on an international field trip to Freiburg, Germany – a pioneering eco-city, renowned for their efforts in sustainable transport. She has moved to Cambridge from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex to start her new role at Paul Basham associates and looks forward to expanding on new skills in transport planning and working on a variety of new projects in the Eastern region.

Outside of work, she often travels to visit friends and family in hometown Essex and Norwich, occasionally seeing friends still studying in Exeter too. While at home, she enjoys walking her beagle, Frank, who turned 14 in October 2024.
