We are delighted to announce that Tom Purnell has joined the team as a Graduate Transport Planner at Paul Basham Associates!
Tom recently graduated from the university of Portsmouth with a degree in BA Human Geography. Alongside his degree, he worked part time as a supermarket assistant for Waitrose & Partners.
While studying at university one of Tom's favourite and most engaging modules was ‘Transport and Sustainability’. In this module he learnt about the transport sector and undertook assessments tailored to working for a transport consultancy. After graduating he continued to work part time and has been eager to start a career in transport planning. He joined Paul Basham Associates in October 2022, and is looking forward to getting to work on projects and developing his career within the company.
Outside of work Tom spends a lot of time with friends. He has played football since he was young and still play twice a week. He has recently been getting back into the gym, trying to go at least a few times a week. He also enjoys travelling, going on holiday and experiencing new cultures.
