Old Clayton Kennels, A283 Storrington – West Sussex County Council
We have recently received confirmation from West Sussex County Council that our S278 design drawings for a bellmouth rearrangement on the A283 are suitable for inclusion within the legal agreement. Appointed by Highwood Group, we delivered the detailed highway design for a new realigned access into a 60-bed care home development, including resurfacing works to the existing access and the extension of the footpath to connect into the proposed internal site layout. Close liaison with both West Sussex County Council and Highwood Group throughout the process ensured the design met all required standards, leading to successful technical approval.

Southview Farm, Stamford – Lincolnshire County Council
At Southview Farm, we were appointed to complete the design for two formalised bus stops and associated footway links. After gathering the necessary information and developing the proposals in accordance with local standards, we secured technical approval from Lincolnshire County Council. The scheme enhances the public transport infrastructure in the area and formalises previously informal bus stop locations.

Hardley Depot, Hardley – Hampshire County Council
Paul Basham Associates were engaged to support the S278 submission and detailed highway design for a new operational services depot at Hardley Industrial Estate. The scheme includes access improvements to serve the proposed development, which comprises the construction of a new operational services depot with ancillary office, workshop/staff facilities, storage space, outbuildings, and associated car parking. As part of the proposed works, we also provided a new access and opening to facilitate an in-and-out system for the wider site, ensuring safe and efficient access and egress for larger vehicles, including lorries. Working closely with our client and New Forest District Council, we secured technical approval for the proposed highway works.

We’re proud to support our clients in navigating the S278 process and look forward to seeing these schemes progress through to construction.
