We are delighted to announce that Jon Merrick has joined our Civil Engineering team as a Principal Engineer in the Southern Office!
Jon joined Paul Basham Associates' Civil Engineering team in May 2023. He has several decades experience in Civil Engineering and a career background that bridges the Public and Private sectors. His depth of experience provides a sound base for the development of appropriate, innovative and practical solutions to engineering problems particularly where there are conservation, environmental or ecological issues to be addressed. He has worked on development projects ranging from small residential developments to major developments. Sites have included 4000+ residential properties, Commercial areas, Neighbourhood Village Centres, and Schools.
Jon enjoys spending time outside with his grandson often doing Roly-polys down steep hills. Although his grandson is now 13 and while Jon rolls down the hill his grandson merely rolls his eyes. Jon is an unashamed Harry Potter fan and can be prone to eccentricity, often he can be found on a balcony on a quiet evening bellowing “Daaay Oooo” and waiting for anyone to holler back.
