What does your job involve?
My role involves developing transport strategies and solutions for clients across a range of land uses including guiding clients through the planning process from a transport perspective whist tackling the technical challenges along the way. I also mentor junior staff in developing their skills and technical knowledge through their professional development.
What do you enjoy most about the role?
I enjoy the variety of projects we work on and undertake. This includes small scale developments with a challenging access to working on large scale projects with a range of technical disciplines developing large scale schemes, with each project a unique learning experience. The opportunity to engage with new clients and technical expertise ensure their continued growth and learning within my role.
What challenges you each day?
Each day in my role presents distinctive challenges, given the diverse nature of developments and sites we work on. Each site offers a set of transport opportunities and constraints, making every project a unique puzzle to solve. However, overcoming these challenges provides a great reward.
What do you get up to in your free time?
As an active family, myself, partner and our two young boys are often exploring the outdoor and new places. As a keen rugby union fan who follows Northampton Saints, I am keen to get our two boys to as many games as possible and hopefully be as enthusiastic supporters as I am! Having recently taken up playing tennis, I’m looking forward to spending more time on the court.
