The Proposal
Paul Basham Associates were appointed by Grainger to deliver a 10 year Travel Plan obligation for the 2,550 dwelling scheme known as Berewood, located to the west of Waterlooville town centre.
The Approach
As part of our role as the Travel Plan Coordinator for the site, our team works collaboratively and closely with Grainger. This included assisting with the production of the Welcome Packs, provided to all newly occupied dwellings, updating the site’s sustainable travel webpage and inputting into the site’s newsletters that are prepared and distributed by Grainger to all residents twice per year. We are also responsible for managing the voucher obligation for the site. This has included liaison with Halford and Stagecoach as well as renegotiating the S106 agreement to ensure that the sustainable travel voucher offer for the development remains deliverable.
Finally we manage the annual survey requirements of the site, which includes a mix of ATC surveys and resident surveys. This is a critical piece of work that enables us to complete our role to the standards required by Hampshire County Council and enable the years of the Travel Plan works to progress each year.
The Outcome
Our team have now successfully completed 5 of the 10-years of Travel Plan Coordination works on this site and are excited to maintain the relationships that are being strengthened each year with Grainger, local operators but most importantly the residents.
