Paul Basham Associates were delighted to work with Dacorum Borough Council to provide a Transport Statement and associated plans to support a full planning application for a residential development comprising of 30 dwellings within Hemel Hempstead.
The Brief
Paul Basham Associates were tasked with producing a Transport Statement to support the application. Having input into the masterplan with regard to the parking levels on site as well as refuse and fire strategy, Paul Basham Associates also carried out an access design to ensure that the proposed development could be accessed safely.
Our Approach
In the first instance, Paul Basham Associates undertook a site visit to assess the development site. As part of the first stage of works a number of documents were consulted to identify policy and regulations that are required to be met by the proposed development.
Paul Basham Associates provided an assessment of local pedestrian, cycle and public transport infrastructure and also assessed the impact of the proposed application on the wider highway network. Careful consideration was given to the onsite swept path analysis so that the proposed car parking spaces were accessible and the fire tender vehicle could get within the required distances to serve the site.
The Result
The scheme received consent in November 2021, and we look forward to seeing the site progress.
